Noises and Interruptions

Whether it's a waitress dropping a tray of drinks, a siren passing by or a group of latecomers standing in front of the stage and arranging their chairs, coats and purses for what seems like five minutes, unplanned noises and interruptions have to be dealt with.

Anything that draws attention away from the stage lessens the impact of the presentation.

So when interruptions occur, you have to know how to pause, make the interruption part of your show, and then return to the proper script when you have regained control of the room

Paul Frisbie discusses these techniques in the book.  On the CD you'll hear it in action.
